Crowdfunding to Create Benches to aid loneliness and help with mental health on JustGiving.
Help us raise us raise as much money as possible to Create Buddi Benches to aid loneliness and help with mental health.
The average cost of a Ted 'Buddi' bench is £500. At present we have 12 benches but we would love to have more built and placed in schools and local accessible areas; to encourage conversations, inspire hope and provide a place for relaxing or talking to one another. The benches will not only provide a place of sanctuary they will foster good mental health as each bench has a QR code with links to local charities. The benches will also be part of the community with people using them as a meeting point for conversations and group walks.
Our aspiration is to have benches in every school within Bolton, areas were elderly people predominantly reside, local parks, family hubs, hospitals and hospices. In the future we hope to provide random acts of kindness for people that are having a hard time. People will be nominated and they will receive something nice through the post such as food hamper or a treat for the family.
